You Are Not A Fit Person is finally done. It has been published and is now available for sale. You can get a copy by clicking on the image in the sidebar to the right if you are so inclined (or a digital download if you prefer).
It will be available on Amazon.com and as an iBook on Apple shortly as well.
It was a tremendous amount of work in the end, and that I didn’t expect. Writing the book wasn’t nearly as hard for me as editing it and polishing it. I am quite proud of the end product though. I really feel that it does a great job in not only simply and honestly laying out the facts about nutrition, but it has all of the tools that anyone could require to get started with an effective fitness routine that will usher in a long term weight loss routine.

As most of you know by now, I believe that we have been unwittingly participating in an unhealthy and misinformed weight loss culture over the last 25 years. We, the unfit, have been loathing ourselves for not being able to lose weight while looking to the fit people in society to help us look like them. The problem is, we don’t like exercising, so when they show us their exercise routines that they use to lose weight, they won’t work for us, because we don’t need routines, we need help embracing exercise. The problem is, we love fattening foods, so when they share with us their recipes, they don’t work for us because we don’t need recipes, we need to find ways to embrace healthy eating. The problem is we lack planning and organization skills, so when they tell us to eat out less, this doesn’t work for us because we don’t need advice, we need organizational skills.
This failure to understand the real problems that we have in weight loss has hampered so many of us in our drive to get fit, and it is precisely these solutions that are shared in ‘You Are Not A Fit Person’.
